Would I build with AMG again? A resounding yes!

Working with AMG to create our custom and unique home was a real pleasure. From start to finish we felt we were being looked after by a small team that really wanted to help us realise our dream home. Any request we had they found a way to achieve. To top it off they completed the build during a very tough time for the WA build market and it definitely feels like we were very lucky we selected AMG, with other builds around us still struggling to finish and not to the same quality either.

The after care service has been very good, making sure all defects are sorted and without question. They just get them done.

Overall I feel we got an amazing house beyond anything we expected, they knocked it out of the park.

I look forward to building again with AMG in the future. Thank you to Matt and his whole team at AMG for bringing our dreams to reality.

Before we started our renovation, people we know who have built or renovated told us to expect to have a difficult relationship with our builder. Our experience with AMG couldn’t have been more different. We consider ourselves so incredibly fortunate to have found them. Matt, Adam and their team are simply and undoubtedly the best. From the planning stages of our renovation through to completion, there was nothing that was too much trouble for them to help us with or provide us with advice about, and we felt like we had a partner in the project rather than a relationship of builder and client. They engage the best trades, have an incredible wealth of knowledge of all the latest products and techniques and have extremely high standards. We found them to be great at communicating with us and keeping us informed. Our renovation was by no means straightforward, and although I'm sure it was stressful for AMG at times, they were unfailingly positive and proactive. They genuinely care about their work and Matt's eye for detail is amazing. The quality of their work is outstanding, and it is something that everyone who visits our completed renovation comments on.     

Renovating is a huge investment. It can be stressful and uncertain, but because of AMG, we haven’t doubted our decision for a moment. We love our home, and we know that is because of AMG.  We couldn’t speak more highly of AMG and would recommend them to anyone considering building or renovating without a moment of hesitation.

Having built several homes before it was quite by chance that I came across AMG Home Builders by reference. From my very first meeting with Matthew I felt positive about potentially using them and with hindsight they have proven to be everything that I thought they would be. The key things that stand out in my mind about AMG are as follows:

They are sincere and realistic from the get go;

• They are as transparent as is practically possible in regards to costs and expectations in relation to my expenditure guidelines;

• Most importantly they actually listened to all my requirements and concerns including my request to concurrently bear the cost considerations in mind at every juncture;

• As a small but highly experienced team the directors themselves are on the ball (supervising) with every aspect of the build and will make constructive suggestions on alternative ideas or approaches when making choices/decisions or faced with issues (as is inevitably the nature of building) and took accountability for the ultimate cost implications. This singular aspect distinguished them from all the builders I had used in the past as i felt they treated my dollars as their own.

• Having grown under the wings of Spadaccini Homes, their work ethic and ultimate product delivery is without question and second to none.

• Throughout the design and build process I felt they were an extension of my own eyes and indeed gained increasing comfort from the act that they were acting in my interest at every step of the process, pre-empting potential issues and forthcoming with cost effective alternative suggestions given the challenges of the site and design itself. I have had plenty of experience with renowned builders that when faced with non-vanilla requirements or challenges simply say they can't be done, do not attempt to think out of the box, or associate them with ridiculous cost estimates. With AMG it became quite apparent very fast that they indeed have the skillset, expertise and most importantly the willingness to consider alternatives and work-arounds, always remaining mindful of the associated dollar cost; and yet achieving solutions and results that I didn't feel in any way compromised the ultimate outcome (often enhancing).

• Not only were any problems addressed and issues rectified (often unavoidable with the best of intentions) without hesitation or fuss, furthermore their attention to detail and the level of perfection was heartwarming to experience during a process that most of us are not only financially heavily invested in but also emotionally and invariably find stressful. Once again this was tantamount to taking full ownership and accountability for both outwardly visible but also the less prominent yet nevertheless significant issues, be they structural or cosmetic. If anything Matthew always has a pre-emptive approach. As such their integrity as individuals as well as builders for me remains unquestionable and something I have struggled to gain comfort in like many other people with in the past.

• The end product was a house that I truly feel proud to own and indeed privileged to have been built by a builder of quality and repute; that is reflected in every aspect of the level and elegance of finishes, the architectural external and internal appeal and ultimately an investment commensurate with current market trends and future potential growth since most of us are increasingly conscious of spending our hard earned dollars in the right location, on the right products and in a manner that adds value to our daily lives.

• What stands AMG out in my mind as I will not hesitate to build with them again, is their professionalism, sincerity, honesty, transparency, high level of skill and finished product.

Ultimately I felt that I had achieved building through them a quality home (indeed a valuable investment) without the stresses and strains generally associated with the whole process.

Having built a number of times previously we knew what we wanted and our architect had drawn plan which encapsulated that wish list with lots of fine detail in the timber work, tiling and cabinetry.

After a rigorous tender process where we interviewed five different builders, we decided to go with Matt Kriskovich from AMG Home Builders.

What Matt importantly brought to the table was an unqualified patience, calm and building savvy that became the mainstay of the entire process. He understood that we wanted everything to be as perfect as possible and he never hesitated to insist that his trades ‘get it right’. Having an affiliation with the Spadaccini group also assisted with extra help with some trades when things get very busy - not a small thing in the current building climate.

What we especially valued was Matt’s commitment to the project with energy, enthusiasm, fairness and a thoroughly positive and good humored attitude. He’s also got excellent taste and ideas when you need a helping hand in decision making and is the consummate problem solver. We made an excellent choice and highly recommend Matt.

We wanted to write this post to share what an absolute pleasure it was to build our beautiful home with AMG Homebuilders!

From the moment we sat down with Matt (Director) and Tony (Manager Design & Sales) we knew they shared our excitement and enthusiasm for our project. It was never going to be “just another build” to them. Despite our excellent first impression and our desire to move things forward as quickly as we could, we made sure we shopped around and check out the competition. However, it quickly became apparent that AMG were the only builder who was truly going to give it the love and care it deserved. 

We had spent a long time thinking through how our home would look, trying to create a sociable space that we could share with our friends and family; a space that would be light, bright, unique, restful, cosy, open as well as functional…and that’s exactly what we got with AMG. Tony set about designing our Heritage/Federation-style home, with a modern, clean finish. Tony was very patient with our back-and-forth emails, drawings and descriptions, taking our relentless suggestions in his stride! He designed our dream home and we were so touched that he payed us a visit on handover day, to see it finally come together and share our excitement with us.

Finally, our biggest and most sincere love and appreciation goes to Matt Kriskovich. Matt’s attention to detail, drive and passion to make everything perfect, has made our overall experience exceed expectation. He has been the driving force behind everything and integral to making our dreams come true. We could really see how much Matt and his team love the work they do and that was reflected in each and every step of the process. With having no building experience, we really relied on his direction and expertise and placed a huge amount of trust in him throughout the process. We count ourselves very fortunate for having the experience that we did.

We are so very happy with the final result and couldn't recommend AMG Homebuilders highly enough. Do yourselves a big favour and talk with AMG before you sign up to anything else. Not only will you have a beautiful home at the end of it, but you will meet some of the most honest and genuine people along the way.

We were certainly not disappointed in our choice of builder, they offered a highly personal yet professional service with the flexibility to meet our needs. From our initial enquiries to final handover, all communications were made in a timely and courteous manner.

Flexibility was another bonus for us, letting us make changes along the way. The guidance and advice we were given was very helpful with our decision making and all enhanced our finished home. Nothing was too much trouble and the inclusive approach adopted meant everyone was working towards the best result possible.

All representatives of AMG Home Builders, from the office staff, project manager to the exceptional tradesmen were courteous, professional and always helpful and free with their advice. Their enthusiasm and ethics gave us a sense of ease and trust that we knew we were in the best hands.

We are now well settled into our new home, and we write to let you know how absolutely delighted we are with the final result. Every day we appreciate the finished outcome, and the look of the house still gives us a thrill each time we return home. We have had so many compliments on the house from family and friends, and from many neighbours and passersby who have watched the progress of the build.

My wife and I chose to build with AMG Home Builders off a recommendation from our neighbours. As this was our second time building, we were more particular with the builder we chose. After going through a thorough tender process with multiple builders and meeting with 3 shortlisted builders, we entrusted Adam Spadaccini of AMG Home Builders with the task of building our dream home.

The project was a challenging one from the start in part due to the structure and also the details from our architect. The way Adam handled each challenge in his stride was impressive. From getting the exposed concrete soffit ceilings to be spot on, to overcoming the mistake in the drawn structural steel beams to the rear, Adam seemed to be unfazed and always sought the right solutions after direct consultation with us.

The most impressive part of working with Adam is that it is obvious that he has huge respect and empathy to his clients. He genuinely puts himself in his clients' shoes and makes comments and decisions from that point of view, sometimes seemingly disregarding his own company's bottom line.

As a business person, I have always sought to seek out people with the right attitude to work with. This trait is the most enduring of all when times get tough. It seemed that in this case when we decided to work with Adam, I was magnetised to his positivity and I sensed that this would ultimately be the factor which determines the quality of my building experience and hence the standard of build I would receive.

After months of Adam patiently dealing with my scrutiny going through every fine detail of the building process, my family of 6 have now moved into a home we are so proud of and feel so comfortable in. This, I believe, is not only because our home has been finished to an extremely high standard, but because of the positive experience we have had with Adam and AMG Home Builders.

Will we recommended this company to our family and friends? For sure.

More importantly, if we were ever going to build again, would we call on AMG Home Builders again? Absolutely!
